INJUSTICE

Unequal access to quality education among Children enrolled in Multi

graded learning centres in remote rural and tribal areas of Kasaragod

district.


WHO & HOW

Children enrolled in Multi grade learning centres in rural and tribal areas

of Kasaragod district will be affected by this injustice. It is the right of each and every child to receive and access quality education without any form of descrimination.


WHY

  • Negligence of society as well as government authorities.

  • Unawareness of the real problems denial behaviour to address the

  • problems.


ROOT CAUSES

  • Rural and economic backwardness of the community

  • Lack of awareness and education among parents

  • Non-adaptive academic curriculum and co-curriculum

  • Denial attitude of authorities for taking adequate measures for

  • addressing the problem


COMPASSIONATE INSIGHT


To overcome the injustice of educational disparity among tribal and

rural children studying in MGLC, We will address unequal formal and informal education by providing one to one mentoring through efficient modules and volunteers


GOALS

  • To provide one to one mentoring for 30 children enrolled in MGLCs of Kasaragod district with the help of 30 mentors (volunteers) in 3 months

  • To identify and improve deficiencies in academic learning of the

  • children

  • To improve social and emotional skills

  • To improve physical and mental wellbeing of children


KEY STEPS

  • Identifying social and cultural background of community

  • Pre assessment of development needs of children

  • Module preparation

  • intake of children to the project

  • Recruitment and training for volunteer mentor

  • Implementation of one to one mentoring

  • Evaluation and post assessment

  • Follow up
