VolSchool - Volunteering at School
VolSchool aims to bridge the skill and resource gap in schools to create better learning environments and opportunities for children in underserved communities. It is a flagship initiative of Captains Social Foundation in collaboration with Yuwaah by UNICEF India.
VolSchool offers a leadership opportunity for young people to engage meaningfully with schools. Volunteers will identify schools in their communities, interact with teachers to understand their needs, and mobilise resources to address those needs by organising activities within the school. The five key focus areas of VolSchool are:
- Introducing children to first-time volunteering experiences to nurture active, empathetic, and responsible citizens.
- Mobilising essential educational resources to support and strengthen children’s academic journeys.
- Hosting thematic campaigns to raise awareness and foster positive change in children's lives.
- Facilitating skill development programs to empower children and expand their future opportunities.
- Supporting the improvement of school infrastructure to ensure safe, inclusive, and resourceful spaces where children can thrive.
