We @captains.ngo is on a mission to engage 1 lakh volunteers by 2030.

One of the initiatives we launched to bring more people into volunteering is a fun, interactive beach cleanup drive that we branded as the Trash Hunt – where volunteers not only collect waste but also enjoy a gamified, rewarding experience with appreciation and reward coupons for their efforts.

The third edition of the Trash Hunt, organised with the support of VFS, Bhumi and UNICEF Yuwaah brought together 1,237 amazing volunteers who responsibly collected and disposed of 1,970 kgs of waste.

We truly appreciate the efforts of all the colleges, teams, and individuals who joined this initiative. Special thanks to @tinkerfangirl @bhushit4r @neha.shrivastava @smithi_explorer and many others for their support.

Through this Trash Hunt journey so far, we have been able to mobilize nearly 3,500 volunteers – setting a strong record for community-led environmental action.

We look forward to creating many more such engaging opportunities for volunteers in the future.1,237 volunteers responsibly collected and disposed 1,970 kg of community waste through the gamified Trash Hunt 3.0 initiative across Kerala.
