1 volunteer facilitated maternal and child health awareness sessions for 15 women and children at KS Ganga Hospital, Khunti District, Jharkhand, led by Muskan Kashyap.
Our volunteer Muskan Kashyap from Lovely Professional University organised the “Healthy Mothers, Healthy Children” initiative at KS Ganga Hospital and Research Centre, Khunti District from 16th to 20th July 2025, as part of her community development project.
The program focused on raising awareness about maternal and child health among 15 women and children, including pregnant women, young mothers, and caregivers. Through interactive sessions, Muskan shared vital information on prenatal and postnatal care, balanced nutrition, exclusive breastfeeding, child immunization, hygiene practices, and the importance of regular medical check-ups.
The initiative helped improve health literacy, encouraged healthy habits, and empowered women to take proactive steps toward their and their children’s well-being. The sessions also supported early identification of health concerns through informal screening, enabling quicker support and necessary referrals.
We appreciate the efforts of Muskan Kashyap for taking up this meaningful initiative and promoting better health awareness at the grassroots level.
