14 Volunteers Done a Environmental Activity

It's incredible what a dedicated team can achieve! On March 8, 2025, as part of the Kerala Climate Festival 2025, a fantastic initiative called Project Jungle Springs 2025 brought together passionate individuals to make a real difference for wildlife in the Konni Forest, Pathanamthitta.

This vital project was expertly coordinated by our very own volunteer, Vishnu, in collaboration with the Department of Forests & Wildlife and the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change. Their collective efforts focused on a crucial aspect of ecosystem health: water availability.

A powerhouse team of 14 members – including dedicated individuals from the Bhoomithrasena Club of Christian College, the Forest Department, and the Vana Samrakshana Samithi – rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Their mission? To restore a vital pond and construct three essential check dams.

Why is this so important? Ensuring a consistent water supply for wildlife is paramount. It directly enhances wildlife habitats, provides crucial support during dry spells, and plays a significant role in reducing human-wildlife conflicts that can arise when animals venture into human settlements in search of water. Ultimately, initiatives like Project Jungle Springs 2025 are key to promoting environmental sustainability and fostering a thriving ecosystem.

We are immensely proud of and deeply appreciate the unwavering dedication of our volunteers and all those involved in this impactful cause. Their hard work is a testament to the power of community action in protecting our natural world!
