1800+ people transformed streets into a joyful, volunteer-led carnival at Kochi in collaboration with Volunteer for India through Santhosha Theruvu.

We collaborated with Volunteer for India to organize Santhosha Theruvu (Street of Joy) on 5 October 2025 as part of Daan Utsav, India’s biggest festival of giving.

Around 1800+ people joined us to turn a simple idea into a lively community celebration. Santhosha Theruvu came alive as a vibrant street carnival that brought together NGOs, local businesses, artists, performers, photographers, and community members—each contributing their time, talent, and resources to spread happiness and connection.

The streets witnessed open-mic performances, live art, music, and heartfelt interactions, with citizens stepping in not just as participants but as volunteer leaders, performers, and changemakers in their own right. The carnival showed how community collaboration can transform public spaces into platforms of expression, joy, and shared humanity.

We sincerely appreciate every volunteer and partner who made this celebration meaningful, inclusive, and people-centered. 💙
