3 volunteers engaged 36 children of Perinad BUDS Rehabilitation Centre through inclusive paper-based interactive activities, fostering creativity, communication, and joyful participation in Kollam.
On 5 January 2026, a team of 3 volunteers conducted a Paper-based Interactive Activity at Perinad BUDS Rehabilitation Centre, Kollam.
The three-hour session engaged 36 children with intellectual disabilities through carefully designed paper-based activities that encouraged creativity, communication, and active participation. Each activity was adapted to suit individual abilities, ensuring inclusiveness and meaningful involvement for every child.
As part of the New Year celebrations, volunteers distributed New Year wish cards and chocolates to build rapport and create a joyful atmosphere.
The session created a positive and supportive learning environment where children participated enthusiastically, expressed themselves with confidence, and experienced emotional well-being through joyful interaction. The activity also strengthened collaboration between staff, volunteers, trainees, and beneficiaries, reinforcing the value of inclusive community engagement.
A heartfelt appreciation to our coordinators Ayana Anil, Saja Shajahan, and Sivaranjini T M for thoughtfully leading this initiative, and to the teachers at Perinad BUDS Rehabilitation Centre for their continued cooperation.
