40 Volunteers took Plastic Awerness sessions in Kerala

From February 15th to March 15th, 2025, Kerala buzzed with a vital mission: to empower the next generation with the knowledge to combat plastic pollution. As part of the wider Kerala Climate Festival and in support of Good Deeds Day 2025, we mobilized a dedicated force of volunteers across the state to conduct a impactful Plastic Awareness Campaign in collaboration with local schools.

The goal was clear: to educate students about the pervasive and harmful effects of plastic use and to champion sustainable alternatives. And the results were truly inspiring.

Our campaign was spearheaded by 40 incredibly dedicated volunteers who, through their tireless efforts, conducted an impressive 120 sessions. This collective endeavor reached a remarkable 4,529 students across numerous schools, instilling in them a deeper understanding of plastic pollution and its environmental ramifications. Each hour-long session was meticulously designed to provide a comprehensive overview, fostering critical thinking and promoting responsible habits.

This initiative wasn't just about imparting information; it was about shaping young minds towards a more sustainable future. By fostering awareness and actively encouraging responsible waste management practices, we've taken a significant and crucial step towards a greener and cleaner tomorrow for Kerala and beyond.

The enthusiasm of the students and the commitment of our volunteers were truly heartwarming, demonstrating the power of collective action in tackling pressing environmental challenges. We believe that by empowering our youth with knowledge and practical solutions, we are investing in a healthier planet for generations to come.
