5 volunteers facilitated Emotional First Aid Kit training to build emotional literacy and resilience for 70 students of Lourdes Mada Public School, Anchal, Kollam.
Our volunteers Avani and Vishnu organized an Emotional First Aid Kit training program for students of Lourdes Mada Public School, Anchal on June 19, 2025, at Kollam.
With the support of 5 volunteers, 70 students aged 13 to 15 were introduced to the concept of creating their own Emotional First Aid Kit — a personalized toolkit designed to help them recognize, regulate, and express their emotions with confidence.
The session fostered self-awareness, empathy, and emotional literacy, empowering students to navigate stress, peer pressure, and daily challenges more effectively.
In a school system where mental health is often overlooked, this initiative made emotional well-being tangible, practical, and accessible — shaping not just individual resilience but also nurturing a more inclusive and emotionally safe classroom culture.
The program also contributed directly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), by prioritizing emotional literacy as an essential life skill.
Kudos to Avani, Vishnu, and our incredible volunteers for making mental health a conversation that starts early! 🌍✨
