9 Volunteers Participated at Climate Camp 2025 in Ernakulam

We're thrilled to share the success of Climate Camp 2025, an inspiring event held on May 8, 2025, at SDPY GVHSS, Palluruthy, Ernakulam. This camp was a proud part of the Kerala Climate Festival 2025 and an initiative supporting Good Deeds Day 2025.

In a fantastic collaboration with the Olimalar Foundation, we brought together 21 enthusiastic students and 7 dedicated volunteers for a day packed with environmental awareness and creative fun. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy as participants engaged in a variety of interactive and eco-friendly activities.

Students got their hands dirty with seed ball making, learned practical skills through paper bag making, and unleashed their artistic talents creating powerful climate campaign posters. A highlight of the day was the recycled fashion show, where students showcased incredible dresses crafted entirely from newspaper – a true testament to their creativity and commitment to sustainability! Beyond these, many other awareness-building activities helped drive home the importance of environmental stewardship.

To further support their journey towards a greener future, we distributed garden kits, reusable cloth bags, and adorable soft toys (lovingly handmade by IBM employees) to all the students. This initiative aimed to equip them with the tools and inspiration to take small but meaningful steps towards a more sustainable tomorrow.
