Climate Festival 2025 is one of the largest climate volunteering movements in India. The 3-month campaign, as part of World Earth Day 2025, focuses on climate action, environmental sustainability, and waste management.

This initiative by Captains Social Foundation is in collaboration with UNICEF YuWaah India and Good Deeds Day.

We aim to collaborate with individuals, organizations, institutions, corporates, and government departments to create shared opportunities for climate volunteering.

From March 1 to May 31, 2025 - we aim to collaboratively organise 100+ initiatives mobilsing around 10,000+ youth to take climate action in their community.

Trash Hunt 3.0

The Largest Beach CleanUp Drive in Fort Kochi organized by Captains Social Foundation in collaboration with UNICEF India (YuWaah) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. This unique event transforms a typical beach cleanup into a competitive and adventurous challenge, where volunteers work together to collect non-biodegradable waste, earning rewards for their efforts.

Our Mission.

The festival is themed β€œClimate Volunteering”, with the goal of creating a large-scale movement of climate volunteers across Kerala. Our key objectives include:

  • Raising Awareness: Engaging communities to take action for environmental sustainability.
  • Youth Leadership: Educating and empowering young individuals to take leadership roles in climate action.
  • Community-Driven Initiatives: Encouraging sustainability and waste management practices at the grassroots level.
  • Stakeholder Mobilization: Bringing together individuals, organizations, institutions, corporations, and government agencies for collaborative climate efforts.
  • Celebrating Earth Day: Promoting responsible waste disposal, conservation efforts, and climate awareness through interactive and engaging activities.

Program Perks.

  • All volunteers will receive a Certificate of Volunteering from UNICEF and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
  • The volunteer coordinators who lead programs will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and a Good Deeds Day T-shirt as a token of recognition.
  • The top-performing organisation or institution will be honored as the Climate Champions of Kerala for their outstanding contribution to climate action.
