10 volunteers crafted a day to spread smiles among 30 senior citizens in Thrissur

Our volunteers at Thrissur organized an Onam celebration that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. On August 27, 2023, we gathered at Sweet Home, Thumboor, with one goal in mind - to spread joy and create lasting memories.

Around 10 dedicated volunteers selflessly gave their time and energy to make this day unforgettable. Their commitment and passion shone brightly throughout the event, ensuring that every moment was filled with positivity and warmth.

The "Onam Cheer at Sweet Home" event was nothing short of magical. We revived traditional Onam games like Kesarakali and even had a thrilling Spoon Race that had everyone cheering with enthusiasm. Laughter filled the air as we played Anthakshari, connecting through the power of music, followed by an Onam Sadhya that was nothing short of an explosion of flavors and colors.

But the true beauty of this day lay in the connections formed and the bonds strengthened. Our event brought immense happiness not only to the elderly residents but also to the sisters who lovingly care for them. Their expressions of gratitude spoke volumes about the positive impact of these connections.

Each of you played a unique and invaluable role, from organizing games to ensuring everyone had a full plate of Onam Sadhya.
