100 volunteers utilised their skills to foster a better learning environment for 30 differently-abled students in Kollam.

As part of Good Deeds Day, we successfully organized our first-ever Volunteers Camp 1.0 from March 25-27, 2022, at Perinad Gramapanchayat, Kollam. This three-day initiative brought together passionate individuals dedicated to making a difference in the community.
The highlight of the camp was the School Renovation Program at Perinad Buds Rehabilitation Center, a special school catering to differently-abled students. 100+ volunteers from across Kerala united for this cause, channeling their skills and energy to create a better learning environment for the students.
The camp was officially inaugurated by Dr. Arun S Nair, Assistant Collector of Kollam, who emphasized the importance of community-driven initiatives in building an inclusive society. Over the three days, volunteers engaged in painting and beautification, revamping classrooms with vibrant colors and murals, repairing and upgrading school facilities, and ensuring the space was more inclusive for differently-abled students.
The Volunteers Camp 1.0 was more than just a project—it was an experience that empowered young changemakers and reinforced the spirit of volunteerism. It was a reminder that small actions, when done together, create a significant impact.
We look forward to many more such initiatives, fostering #EveryIndianVolunteering and driving sustainable change!
