1200 volunteers engaged in waste management activities to promote climate volunteering in Kerala.

On February 18, 2024, we joined hands with Suchitwa Mission Kerala for the impactful #YouthMeetsHarithakarmasena Campaign—an initiative that spanned all 14 districts of Kerala. This massive awareness drive saw the participation of over 1,200 youth volunteers and 400 dedicated Harithakarmasena members, all working together to promote sustainable waste management practices across communities.

The campaign focused on educating households through direct interaction—collecting waste, demonstrating effective segregation methods, and encouraging eco-friendly habits. This grassroots approach not only informed the public but also sparked a wave of positive environmental action.

One of the campaign’s most memorable highlights was a vibrant flash mob performed to the Malinya Muktham Nakakeralam Theme Song, celebrating unity and shared purpose in environmental stewardship.

Our youth volunteers played a vital role in this initiative—not only on the ground but also in shaping ideas for improving Harithakarmasena branding and operational efficiency. Their creativity and commitment were truly inspiring.

We are deeply grateful to all the volunteers, Harithakarmasena members, and community members who made this campaign a success. Special thanks to Suchitwa Mission Kerala for their invaluable partnership and support.

This campaign stands as a shining example of what collective effort can achieve. With continued collaboration, we are confident we can build a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Kerala for generations to come.
