14 volunteers from Maharashtra engaged in a 7-day volunteer exchange program in Ernakulam.

We had organised a 7-Day Volunteer Exchange Program as a part of Good Deeds Day 2024 in collaboration with Shikshanganga Foundation from May 12th to 20th, 2024 at Ernakulam.

Around 14 volunteers from Maharashtra gathered together at Govt. LPS Uliyanoor to meet, learn, share, and volunteer together in the community. The volunteers were engaged in renovating the school by painting the walls, beautifying the kids' play area, setting up a library, reinstalling the fish tank, cleaning the school premises, and reconditioning the garden. They also assembled wheelchairs, installed birdhouses, and participated in a river cleanup drive. Additionally, they had sessions on teamwork & collaboration, time management, gratitude, and volunteering.

The volunteers cooked food together, did yoga in the mornings, swam in the river, explored tourist destinations, participated in cultural programs, created doodles and collages, and shared thank-you cards.

The 7 days were full of fun, learnings, explorations, and experiences. We appreciate the volunteers for coming to Kerala and spending their valuable time to engage with us in the community. We look forward to having more such initiatives in the future.
