154 volunteers created 154 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Malappuram.

On September 29, 2022, the volunteers of CAPTAINS Malappuram organized the #MyPaperBag Campaign in collaboration with Government College, Malappuram. This initiative was held in support of #EveryIndianVolunteering by Captains Social Foundation, aiming to promote sustainable alternatives to plastic.
The campaign was coordinated by our dedicated volunteer, Shamil, and saw the enthusiastic participation of 150+ volunteers. Volunteers actively engaged in crafting paper bags, which were later distributed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution. This hands-on activity encouraged students and community members to adopt environmentally friendly practices in their daily lives.
#MyPaperBag Campaign is a nationwide initiative by Captains Social Foundation, aiming to collaborate with 100+ institutions across India to create 1 lakh paper bags. The movement empowers youth volunteers to reach out to schools and colleges, engaging students in sustainability efforts and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
The campaign at Government College, Malappuram, showcased the power of collective action in tackling environmental challenges. By participating, students not only contributed to reducing plastic waste but also became advocates for a greener, more sustainable future.
Together, let’s create a more sustainable world—one paper bag at a time! ♻️🌍
