21 volunteers responsibly collected and disposed of 105 kg of non-biodegradable waste in Lakshadweep
We were thrilled to learn that Fathima Quraisha (@gulmakai_dweep) from Lakshadweep initiated a Beach Cleanup Drive after being inspired by our volunteering posts on Instagram! ๐
The Gahniam Al Mufthah Ayalkoottam and Little Flower Balasaba came together for the "Clean Oceans, Brighter Horizons Beach Cleanup Drive" on January 15, 2024, at Chetlat Island, UT of Lakshadweep.
๐ซ 16 children and ๐ 5 volunteers united to responsibly collect 105 kg of plastic waste from the beach. ๐ฎ Following the cleanup, Bathing Kits were distributed to the children as a token of encouragement and support.
๐ We are incredibly inspired by this initiative and deeply appreciate the dedication of Gahniam Al Mufthah Ayalkoottam and Little Flower Balasaba volunteers. A special shoutout to their mentor Mrs. Lakshmi Kuttiyamma, President Mrs. Fathima Quraisha, Secretary Faseela MI, and Educational Volunteers Marjanath and Raseena T K for their leadership and commitment to environmental sustainability.
๐ A huge appreciation for their impactful efforts in protecting our oceans! Letโs continue making waves of positive change. ๐๐ Looking forward to more inspiring initiatives from Lakshadweep! ๐๏ธ
