28 volunteers created 28 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Malappuram.

On October 4, 2022, the volunteers of CAPTAINS Malappuram organized the #MyPaperBag Campaign in collaboration with @e_nilambur_, supporting the #EveryIndianVolunteering movement by Captains Social Foundation.

The campaign was coordinated by our dedicated volunteer, Shahma, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 25+ volunteers. Through this initiative, volunteers actively created paper bags and distributed them to the community, spreading awareness about the environmental hazards of plastic usage and promoting sustainable alternatives.

#MyPaperBag Campaign is a nationwide initiative by Captains Social Foundation, aimed at collaborating with 100+ institutions across India to produce 1 lakh paper bags. This initiative encourages youth volunteers to engage with schools and colleges, empowering students to take part in sustainable practices and make a positive environmental impact.

The campaign at Nilambur demonstrated the power of community-driven action in fostering environmental consciousness. By actively participating in this initiative, volunteers not only contributed to reducing plastic waste but also inspired others to adopt eco-friendly habits.

Together, let’s build a greener future—one paper bag at a time! ♻️🌱
