30 employees of IBM Kochi created 100 solar lamps to distribute to school students in Ernakulam.

On April 22, 2024, in celebration of Earth Day, we joined hands with IBM Kochi and Goodera to organize a meaningful Solar Lamp Making Drive in Kochi, Ernakulam. This initiative brought together purpose, teamwork, and a shared vision of a brighter, more sustainable future.

With great enthusiasm, 30 employee volunteers from IBM Kochi came together to assemble 100 solar lamps, using materials and step-by-step guidance provided during the session. Each lamp was carefully crafted, destined to make a real difference in the lives of families with limited access to electricity.

This hands-on activity not only helped promote the use of clean and renewable energy but also allowed employees to actively contribute to a cause that supports education, safety, and improved quality of life in underserved communities.
