38 volunteers created 38 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Ernakulam.

On November 10, 2022, the volunteers of CAPTAINS Ernakulam organized the #MyPaperBag Campaign 11.0 in Kalamassery, supporting the #EveryIndianVolunteering movement by Captains Social Foundation.

The campaign saw the enthusiastic participation of 38 volunteers, who came together to create and distribute paper bags within the community. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the harmful impact of plastic pollution and encourage people to switch to eco-friendly alternatives.

#MyPaperBag Campaign is a nationwide initiative by Captains Social Foundation, with a mission to collaborate with 100+ institutions across India and produce 1 lakh paper bags. Through this campaign, youth volunteers are empowered to engage with schools, colleges, and local communities to promote sustainable practices.

The Ernakulam edition of #MyPaperBag Campaign was a step forward in creating an eco-conscious society. The volunteers actively educated the public about the importance of reducing plastic waste and inspired others to take action for a cleaner, greener future.

Together, let’s build a greener future—one paper bag at a time! ♻️🌱
