45 volunteers engaged in initiatives promoting sustainable tourism in Kozhikode

The Volunteers Camp 2.0 was an inspiring platform for young changemakers to engage in Capacity Development Training, where participants explored the strengths and challenges of their communities. Over three days, from May 28-30, 2022, around 45+ volunteers actively took part in brainstorming sessions, community mapping, and presentations to pitch their findings to local authorities.
As part of the STREET Project, led by the District Responsible Tourism Mission, Kozhikode, in collaboration with Kadalundi Grama Panchayat, the camp encouraged volunteers to critically analyze their surroundings. They identified key community assets, discussed pressing issues, and proposed innovative solutions to drive positive change.
By designing a community map and presenting their insights, the volunteers not only enhanced their problem-solving and leadership skills but also contributed to the sustainable development of the region. Their enthusiasm and dedication reinforced the impact of grassroots volunteering in shaping resilient communities.
