5 volunteers distributed books to 50 inmates of oldage home in Ernakulam

On January 5, 2023, our dedicated interns from Ideal Arts and Science College, Cherpulassery, organized a heartwarming Book Donation Drive at Sai Shankara Shanthi Kendram in Ernakulam. The event aimed to spread the joy of reading among the 50+ elderly residents of the old age home, bringing smiles and companionship through the power of books.

The initiative saw the participation of 5+ enthusiastic volunteers, who not only donated a variety of books but also spent meaningful time engaging with the elderly. The day was filled with heartfelt interactions, as the interns conversed with the residents, shared experiences, and provided emotional support through their presence.

Beyond the book donation, the interns also took the opportunity to serve food and organize cultural programs. The old age home was filled with laughter and joy as they entertained the residents with music, dance, and storytelling sessions, making the day truly special for all involved.

This initiative reflects the core values of compassion, learning, and community service. Our interns have once again demonstrated the power of small actions in making a big impact.
