The Social Hackathon 7.0 by Captains Social Foundation
On December 11-12, 2021, we successfully conducted the seventh edition of The Social Hackathon, a transformative 24-hour event that united 5 dedicated volunteers to address pressing community challenges. Over the course of the event, participants collaboratively developed 5 impactful social projects, each designed to create meaningful change.
The Social Hackathon, an initiative by Captains Social Foundation in collaboration with Peace First, the Global Incubator of Youth-led Social Change, maintained its commitment to empowering young changemakers. Hosted virtually via Google Meet, this edition showcased the power of small, passionate teams using online platforms to drive innovation and community impact.
Participants were guided through essential training in project design and development, enabling them to identify critical issues and craft effective solutions. Emphasizing creativity, empathy, and teamwork, the hackathon equipped volunteers with the skills needed to address social challenges with confidence and purpose.
