5 volunteers planted 30 trees to create climate awareness among 80 school students in Trivandrum

With their innovation and passion as participants of The Social Hackathon, and the generous $250 funding from Peace First, they transformed an idea into a thriving Mini Forest—a beacon of hope in the fight against climate change! 🌍💚

Our volunteers meticulously prepared the land at Government LP School Anjengo, Thiruvananthapuram, by enriching the soil with natural manures. They blended cow dung, vermicompost, and wood dust in the perfect ratios, ensuring a nutrient-rich foundation for our Mini Forest. Their dedication laid the groundwork for a sustainable green space! 🤝🍃

A green initiative is even more inspiring when combined with art! Volunteers Aparna and Hima brought the walls of Government LP School Anjengo to life with vibrant and meaningful artwork. Their creativity not only beautified the space but also reinforced the message of environmental conservation, making it an inspiring setting for the young minds at the school. 🌼🌟

The final phase was a grand celebration of teamwork and commitment! Trees were planted alongside esteemed guests, local stakeholders, and students, turning the school into a flourishing green sanctuary. The "Pacha Thuruth 2023" awareness session educated young minds about climate action, sustainability, and their role in preserving the planet for future generations. 🌏💡
