66 volunteers engaged in meaningful storytelling to initiate community actions in Kozhikode

On June 18, 2022, we hosted our first-ever Volunteer Story Circle in Kozhikode, in collaboration with @stories__circle. This unique gathering brought together 66 passionate volunteers, creating a space for storytelling, collaboration, and impactful discussions on volunteerism and social change.

An Open Space for Volunteers to Connect & Create

The Volunteer Story Circle is designed as a platform where young changemakers can:
✔ Share their volunteer experiences & insights
✔ Discuss pressing social issues in a non-judgmental space
✔ Connect with new social organizations & opportunities
✔ Collaborate to initiate community-driven actions

During this session, volunteers formed three dynamic groups, each working to conceptualize and develop a social project aimed at addressing key community challenges. The energy, passion, and innovative ideas that emerged from the circle were truly inspiring.

Why Storytelling Matters in Volunteerism?

Storytelling is a powerful tool that fosters empathy, awareness, and action. By sharing their experiences, volunteers inspire others to step forward, understand different perspectives, and co-create solutions for a better world.

The Volunteer Story Circle is more than just an event—it's a movement to strengthen the volunteering ecosystem by fostering connections, conversations, and collective action.

A big thank you to all the enthusiastic volunteers who joined us and made this event a success. Let’s continue to build a community that leads with purpose, serves with passion, and inspires change through stories!
