15 volunteers engaged in meaningful storytelling to promote mental-wellbeing in Kollam

On September 3, 2022, the volunteers of CAPTAINS Kollam came together to organize Blindfolded Conversation 1.0 as part of the #EveryIndianVolunteering Campaign. This unique initiative aimed to foster deep personal reflection, emotional expression, and meaningful human connection in a distraction-free setting.

The event, coordinated by our volunteer Nirupama and team, saw the participation of 15+ dedicated volunteers who engaged in guided conversations while blindfolded. By removing visual cues, participants were encouraged to listen more attentively, express their thoughts openly, and develop empathy for one another.

Why Blindfolded Conversations?

In a world where distractions are endless, active listening and genuine connection often take a backseat. This initiative provided a safe space for volunteers to:
✔ Enhance emotional well-being by expressing thoughts without judgment.
✔ Build trust and empathy through shared experiences.
✔ Reflect deeply on personal perspectives and societal issues.

As we continue fostering volunteer-driven initiatives that promote mental well-being and self-awareness, we encourage more individuals to engage in impactful conversations that drive personal and social change.

Stay connected for more meaningful experiences with CAPTAINS Social Foundation! 🚀💙
