24 volunteers created 24 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Bangalore

On September 19, 2022, our dedicated volunteers organized the impactful #MyPaperBag Campaign at Vijaynagar, Bangalore. The event was a heartwarming success, bringing together students, volunteers, and coordinators to champion a sustainable cause.
Three passionate volunteers joined hands to teach 21 enthusiastic students from Mount Everest High School the art of making eco-friendly paper bags. Beyond the crafting session, the campaign aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution, particularly among young minds.
Through an engaging awareness session, students were enlightened about the detrimental impact of plastic on the environment. Their response was truly inspiring—they not only learned to create reusable paper bags but also pledged to reduce their use of single-use plastic bags. Their enthusiasm and commitment underscored the power of education in driving positive change.
A special note of gratitude goes to our exceptional coordinators—Shobha, Fasna, and Shahinsha—whose dedication and leadership played a crucial role in making this event a resounding success. Their efforts in organizing, educating, and inspiring the students have set an example for future initiatives.
This campaign signifies a significant step towards a cleaner and greener future. As we continue on this journey, let’s remember that every small effort counts. Together, one paper bag at a time, we can contribute to a sustainable and plastic-free world. 💚♻️
