24 volunteers created 24 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Ernakulam

On February 10, 2023, our dedicated interns from Ideal Arts & Science College, Cherupulassery, took the initiative to organize the #MyPaperBag Campaign 14.0 at Morakkala English Medium School, Pallikara. This impactful event was aimed at educating young minds on the importance of reducing plastic usage and promoting eco-friendly alternatives.

With the enthusiastic participation of 5+ volunteers, the campaign successfully engaged 19+ students in a hands-on paper bag-making activity. Through this interactive session, students not only learned a valuable skill but also understood the significance of adopting sustainable practices in their daily lives.

The event also included an awareness session highlighting the environmental hazards of plastic pollution and the necessity of shifting towards biodegradable alternatives like paper bags. The volunteers shared insightful facts and practical tips to inspire the students to make small but meaningful changes in their communities.

The #MyPaperBag Campaign has consistently aimed to foster environmental consciousness, and this 14th edition was another step forward in our mission. We are incredibly proud of our interns and volunteers for their commitment to creating a greener future.
