30 volunteers engaged in meaningful storytelling to promote mental-wellbeing in Malappuram

On September 24, 2022, the volunteers of CAPTAINS Malappuram came together to organize Blindfolded Conversation 2.0 as part of the #EveryIndianVolunteering Campaign. This unique experience aimed to create a space for deep reflection, emotional well-being, and meaningful human connection through guided conversations—all while blindfolded.
The program was skillfully coordinated by our dedicated volunteers Fahisa, Shamil, Nadiya, Abdu Rahman, and Fairoosa. With the enthusiastic participation of 30+ volunteers, the event encouraged individuals to listen without bias, express without hesitation, and connect beyond appearances.
Why Blindfolded Conversations?
In a fast-paced world filled with distractions, this initiative sought to:
✔ Promote emotional well-being by encouraging open and honest dialogue.
✔ Strengthen empathy and active listening by removing visual barriers.
✔ Encourage self-reflection on personal thoughts, emotions, and social issues.
By immersing in this powerful and introspective experience, volunteers were able to understand the importance of mindful conversations and their role in fostering inclusive communities.
At CAPTAINS Social Foundation, we believe that true change starts with meaningful dialogue. Stay tuned for more transformative experiences that bring people closer, one conversation at a time.
