35 volunteers raised awareness on waste management practices and geotagged 5000 residence in Ernakulam
We’re thrilled to share the incredible journey of our collaboration with Kalamassery Municipality and Green Village in addressing urban waste management challenges! From July to August 2023, we embarked on a groundbreaking mission to introduce an innovative waste management system right at its source in Kalamassery. 🗑️🏡
With the unwavering support of over 36+ dedicated volunteers, we took a multi-faceted approach to making a tangible impact. These passionate individuals led awareness campaigns, conducted surveys, and geo-tagged Bio-Bins across 5000+ households in the Kalamassery Municipality. Our core mission? To ensure the correct installation, utilization, and maintenance of Bio Bins while fostering a culture of responsible waste management. 📋🌍
At the heart of our initiative lies the Bio Bin Waste Management System, now proudly recognized as the Kalamassery Model. This system is not just a localized solution—it’s a visionary approach towards creating a replicable, efficient waste management framework for the entire state. The project is designed to address the waste crisis by implementing a sustainable, on-site disposal method that reduces landfill dependency and promotes environmental stewardship. ♻️🏢
