60 volunteers oragnised a flash mob to raise awareness on plastic in Kozhikode

On July 30, 2023, Subash Park in Kochi witnessed a truly magical transformation! 🌳✨ Teaming up with VFI, Bhumi, and The Kochi Collective, we hosted an unforgettable day filled with eco-consciousness, creativity, and community engagement.

Our passionate volunteers set the tone for the day with a lively flashmob, catching the attention of park-goers and spreading vital messages about sustainability. Through energetic dance moves and engaging performances, we highlighted the importance of eco-conscious living in a way that was fun and memorable. 🎶📣

After the excitement of the flashmob, it was time to get our hands dirty – in the best way possible! Over just five hours, our incredible team of volunteers upcycled 250 plastic bottles into functional and aesthetically pleasing items. This hands-on experience not only showcased the potential of upcycling but also encouraged participants to rethink waste and embrace sustainability in their daily lives. ♻️✨

Our dedication to a cleaner environment didn’t stop there! We also built three vibrant dustbins, designed to enhance waste disposal efficiency in the park. These colorful and functional additions will help maintain the beauty of Subash Park while encouraging responsible waste management. 🌱🌏

With over 60 volunteers working tirelessly, this initiative was a testament to the power of youth and collaboration. Together, we demonstrated how creativity can drive sustainability and bring about real change. In total, we impacted 170 participants, leaving them more informed and inspired to adopt eco-friendly habits.

This event was a true collaboration between The Kochi Collective, Bhumi, VFI, and other amazing partners, proving that when we come together for a cause, magic happens. 🎨🌍
