5 volunteers planted 25 trees to create a greener enviornmat in Kollam

From August 1 to 25, 2022, Captains Social Foundation organized a Garlic Tree Plantation Drive in Thiruvananthapuram, with the aim of contributing to a greener and healthier environment. A dedicated team of five volunteers took the initiative to plant 25 garlic trees, reinforcing our commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.
Garlic trees (Azadirachta excelsa) are known for their environmental benefits, including:
Air Purification – Helping reduce pollution and improve air quality.
Climate Resilience – Absorbing carbon dioxide and mitigating climate change.
Biodiversity Support – Providing shelter and food for birds and insects.
Soil Enrichment – Enhancing soil fertility and preventing erosion.
Our volunteers dedicated their time and efforts to ensuring each tree was properly planted and nurtured, making a lasting impact on the local ecosystem. This plantation drive aligns with our broader vision of fostering a more sustainable and eco-friendly future through community-led environmental initiatives.
At Captains Social Foundation, we believe that small actions lead to big changes. Together, we can create a cleaner, greener world—one tree at a time!
