50 volunteers created 50 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Ernakulam

On February 10, 2023, CAPTAINS Ernakulam successfully organized the #MyPaperBag Campaign 15.0 at St. Mary’s English Medium School, Ernakulam. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of reducing plastic usage and embracing sustainable alternatives.

With the enthusiastic participation of 50 dedicated volunteers, the campaign focused on crafting 50 eco-friendly paper bags, promoting the idea of adopting simple yet effective measures to curb plastic pollution.

Beyond the hands-on activity, the volunteers conducted an awareness session highlighting the harmful effects of plastic on the environment and the significance of using biodegradable alternatives. The session was met with great enthusiasm, with students actively participating and expressing their eagerness to make a difference.

The #MyPaperBag Campaign has been a continuous effort by CAPTAINS to instill a sense of environmental responsibility in the younger generation. By encouraging students to be conscious consumers and adopt sustainable habits, we take a step closer to a greener future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers and the students of St. Mary’s English Medium School for making this event a success. Every small effort counts, and together, we can build a world free from plastic pollution!
