50 volunteers engaged in meaningful storytelling to initiate community actions in Kerala
Volunteer Story Circle 2.0 by Captains Social Foundation

In celebration of World Environment Day 2021, Captains Social Foundation organized Volunteer Story Circle 2.0, a dynamic group discussion on "Youth-led Initiatives in Creating a Sustainable Environment". This session aimed to bring together passionate youth to share their personal experiences and initiatives in the field of environmental sustainability.
Held on Clubhouse, the session saw the participation of over 50+ youth, each eager to contribute their insights and ideas about the role of youth in driving sustainable practices. Participants shared a diverse range of experiences, from local environmental clean-up projects to large-scale green initiatives, demonstrating the creativity and determination of young people in addressing pressing environmental challenges.
The discussion focused on the ways in which youth-led initiatives can contribute to a sustainable future, touching upon key topics such as waste management, renewable energy, conservation efforts, and the promotion of eco-friendly practices within communities. It also encouraged the participants to reflect on the importance of collaboration and innovation in tackling environmental issues at local, regional, and global levels.
The event provided a platform for open dialogue, allowing youth to not only share their projects but also seek advice and support from one another. By the end of the session, participants left with a stronger sense of responsibility and empowerment, motivated to take further action in their communities to create a more sustainable environment.
Volunteer Story Circle 2.0 served as a vital step in building a network of youth changemakers who are committed to protecting the planet and driving positive environmental change through collective action and leadership.
