One volunteer raised awareness on hygiene practices among 25 school students in Alappuzha.

On October 15, as part of World Hand Wash Day, our dedicated volunteer, Aravind (@aravind_r_vallikunnam), organized a heartwarming awareness campaign in Alappuzha to promote the importance of proper handwashing and hygiene practices. This initiative focused on educating students in three schools, fostering a culture of cleanliness that is vital for their health and well-being.
Aravind set up handwashing stations in the schools, ensuring that students could practice what they learned right away. A special touch was added by placing a handwashing steps board in the washing areas of the schools, which served as a visual guide for students to understand the correct technique of washing hands.
One of the highlights of the campaign was the active participation of 25 students from Govt L.P. School, Elippakulam, Alappuzha. Aravind engaged with these students, raising their awareness on the significance of hygiene practices, not just for their own health, but for the well-being of their families and communities.
The initiative wasn't just about teaching handwashing – it was a reminder that simple actions can have a powerful impact. Handwashing, a small but important habit, can prevent the spread of diseases, ensuring a healthier future for everyone.
We commend Aravind for his dedicated efforts to make a difference and for spreading the message of hygiene and health. His work serves as an inspiring example of how small steps can lead to big changes in the community.
Let’s continue to promote such practices and spread the word about the importance of handwashing in schools, homes, and everywhere we go!
