10 volunteers raised awareness on waste management among 60 residence in Ernakulam

On May 18, 2023, we at @the.social.captains, in collaboration with Cochin Corporation, Suchithwa Mission, and MYBYK, organized a Pre-Community Awareness Cycle Rally in Ernakulam as part of @gooddeedsday. This initiative was aimed at raising awareness about effective waste management practices and fostering community engagement in sustainable living.

The rally witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 10+ volunteers, who not only pedaled for the cause but also actively engaged in a door-to-door survey, reaching out to 60+ households in the Ravipuram ward. Our volunteers took the time to educate residents on the significance of proper waste segregation, responsible disposal, and the overall impact of individual actions on the environment.

The campaign was met with great enthusiasm from the community, as residents expressed their interest in adopting better waste management habits. Through interactive discussions and informative sessions, we aimed to inspire long-term behavioral changes that contribute to a cleaner and greener Ernakulam.

This event was more than just a cycle rally—it was a movement towards sustainability, civic responsibility, and collective action. We believe that such small but significant initiatives can create ripples of positive change and encourage more individuals to take up environmental stewardship.
