117 volunteers created 117 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Ernakulam.

On February 24, 2023, our intern from Ideal College of Arts and Science successfully organized the #MyPaperBag Campaign 16.0 at Govt. UP School Padamugal, Ernakulam. This impactful event aimed to educate young students about the importance of reducing plastic usage and adopting sustainable practices.

With the enthusiastic involvement of over 5 volunteers, the campaign engaged more than 112 students in a hands-on paper bag-making activity. This creative and practical approach not only encouraged students to make their own eco-friendly bags but also instilled a sense of environmental responsibility from a young age.

In addition to the paper bag activity, an awareness session was conducted to emphasize the harmful effects of plastic pollution and the significance of adopting sustainable alternatives. To further encourage a green mindset, volunteers distributed seeds to the students, inspiring them to take small yet impactful steps toward a cleaner planet.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated volunteers and the students for their enthusiasm and commitment to sustainability. Together, we are fostering a generation that values and practices environmental stewardship.

Let’s continue to work towards a plastic-free future by empowering communities and inspiring responsible choices!
