117 volunteers created 117 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Ernakulam

On February 24, 2023, our dedicated intern from Ideal College of Arts and Science successfully organized the #MyPaperBag Campaign 16.0 at Govt. UP School Padamugal, Ernakulam. This inspiring initiative aimed to spread awareness about the importance of reducing plastic usage and promoting eco-friendly alternatives.
With the active participation of 5+ volunteers, the campaign engaged 112+ students in a creative and educational session. The students enthusiastically took part in making paper bags, an effort to encourage sustainable practices in their daily lives. Through this hands-on activity, they not only learned the art of crafting paper bags but also understood the larger environmental impact of minimizing plastic waste.
In addition to the paper bag-making session, the volunteers conducted an awareness program highlighting the environmental hazards of plastic pollution and the urgent need to adopt greener alternatives. The interactive session sparked curiosity among the students, motivating them to become responsible citizens who contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet.
To further reinforce the message of sustainability, the volunteers distributed seeds to the students, encouraging them to nurture plants and contribute to a greener environment. This thoughtful gesture symbolized a commitment to fostering a culture of environmental responsibility among young minds.
The #MyPaperBag Campaign 16.0 was a remarkable success, leaving a lasting impression on the students and instilling the values of sustainability and conservation. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our intern from Ideal College of Arts and Science and the dedicated volunteers for making this event impactful and meaningful. Together, we move one step closer to a plastic-free future!
