3 volunteers raised awareness on plastic among 50 shopkeepers in Ernakulam

On January 11, 2023, our dedicated interns from Ideal Arts and Science College, Cherupulassery, took a significant step toward environmental conservation by organizing an Anti-Plastic Bag Campaign at Pallikara, Ernakulam. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic pollution and encourage sustainable alternatives.

With enthusiasm and commitment, a team of over three volunteers actively participated in the campaign. They designed impactful posters highlighting the environmental hazards of plastic bags and took to the streets, visiting nearby shops and engaging with local vendors. Through meaningful conversations, they emphasized the importance of reducing plastic usage and adopting eco-friendly alternatives like cloth and jute bags.

The campaign was met with positive responses, with many shopkeepers and residents expressing their willingness to support the cause. By taking this proactive approach, our interns not only contributed to a cleaner environment but also inspired the community to make responsible choices for a sustainable future.
