33 volunteers created 33 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Ernakulam

On January 11, 2023, CAPTAINS Kollam successfully organized the #MyPaperBag Campaign 13.0 at SKV LP School, Kollam. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of reducing plastic usage and embracing sustainable alternatives.

With the enthusiastic participation of 3+ dedicated volunteers, the campaign engaged 30+ students in an interactive and educational session. The young minds were guided in crafting eco-friendly paper bags, promoting the idea of adopting simple yet effective measures to curb plastic pollution.

Beyond the hands-on activity, the volunteers conducted an awareness session highlighting the harmful effects of plastic on the environment and the significance of using biodegradable alternatives. The session was met with great enthusiasm, with students actively participating and expressing their eagerness to make a difference.

The #MyPaperBag Campaign has been a continuous effort by CAPTAINS Kollam to instill a sense of environmental responsibility in the younger generation. By encouraging students to be conscious consumers and adopt sustainable habits, we take a step closer to a greener future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers and the students of SKV LP School for making this event a success. Every small effort counts, and together, we can build a world free from plastic pollution!
