30 volunteers responsibly collected and disposed of 300 kg of non-biodegradable waste in Thrissur

At The Social Captains, we believe in the power of collective action to bring about positive change. On May 5, 2023, we proudly collaborated with Chavakkad Municipality, Haritha Kerala Mission, and Captains Thrissur to organize a CleanUp Drive in Thrissur as part of @GoodDeedsDay.

The event saw an overwhelming response, with 30+ enthusiastic volunteers from ICA College Thozhiyur and LF College Guruvayur joining hands to clean and beautify the premises of the Chavakkad Bus Stand. Armed with gloves, brooms, and a shared commitment to environmental responsibility, our volunteers worked tirelessly to remove litter, sort waste, and restore the area’s cleanliness.

This initiative was more than just a cleaning activity—it was a step towards fostering a culture of environmental awareness and community engagement. By coming together for a common cause, we aimed to inspire more people to take responsibility for their surroundings and contribute to a cleaner, greener future.
