37 volunteers responsibly collected and disposed of 370 kg of non-biodegradable waste in Thrissur

On February 26, 2023, we took a significant step towards environmental responsibility by organizing a CleanUp Drive in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Sahrdaya College of Engineering & Technology and Decathlon. The event took place at the picturesque Kanakamala hill in Thrissur, a spot known for its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere.

A team of 37+ enthusiastic volunteers embarked on a trek to the top of Kanakamala, armed with a shared commitment to preserving nature. The journey, though challenging, was fueled by a sense of purpose and determination. Once at the summit, the team actively engaged in cleaning activities, collecting and properly disposing of waste that had accumulated in the area over time.

The drive was not just about cleaning but also about spreading awareness regarding the importance of maintaining natural spaces. Through this initiative, participants realized the impact of waste accumulation on the environment and the role each individual plays in keeping our surroundings clean.
