4 volunteers supported 250 individuals to apply for UDID certificate in Malappuram

On February 28, 2023, we had the privilege of volunteering for the Unique Disability ID (UDID) Certification Camp in collaboration with the District Social Security Mission at Malappuram. This initiative aimed to streamline the identification and certification process for individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the benefits and support they rightfully deserve.

A team of over three dedicated youth volunteers actively participated in the data entry process for the UDID program. The volunteers played a crucial role in assisting disabled individuals in the community by managing and processing their documentation efficiently. Their efforts contributed to a seamless and organized data collection process, making it easier for authorities to generate and issue UDID cards.

The UDID program is a significant step towards empowering people with disabilities by providing them with a unique identification number that enables them to access government schemes, healthcare services, and social security benefits without hassle. The initiative promotes inclusivity and ensures that individuals with disabilities are recognized and supported at both the state and national levels.

Being a part of this noble cause was a rewarding experience for our team. It not only allowed us to contribute to a meaningful initiative but also helped us develop a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by disabled individuals in accessing essential services. We extend our gratitude to the District Social Security Mission for giving us this opportunity to serve the community.

Through such initiatives, we hope to continue working towards a more inclusive society where every individual, regardless of their abilities, has equal access to opportunities and support.
