80 volunteers responsibly collected and disposed of 800 kg of non-biodegradable waste in Kozhikode

On February 26, 2023, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Green Worms for a Beach Clean-Up Drive at Kozhikode’s Konad Beach. This initiative was aimed at not only cleaning the beach but also raising awareness about the importance of waste management and ocean conservation.
With an overwhelming response, over 80 volunteers joined hands to make a difference. The participants included environmental enthusiasts, local community members, and volunteers passionate about preserving our natural surroundings. Equipped with gloves, waste bags, and an unwavering spirit, we spent the day collecting plastic waste, bottles, and other pollutants that littered the shore.
Throughout the drive, we also engaged in awareness activities, educating participants and bystanders about the impact of marine pollution and how small, consistent efforts can lead to a significant change. The energy and enthusiasm of the volunteers were truly inspiring, reinforcing our belief that collective action can create a lasting impact.
This initiative was more than just a clean-up—it was a step toward fostering a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Green Worms and all the volunteers who participated. Your efforts have contributed towards making our beaches cleaner and safer for both people and marine life.
Let’s continue to work together for a cleaner, greener planet! Stay tuned for more such initiatives, and join us in our mission to protect our environment.
