80 volunteers responsibly collected and disposed of 800 kg of non-biodegradable waste in Malappuram

At The Social Captains, we believe in the power of collective action to bring positive change to our communities. As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we proudly collaborated with the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Govt. College Malappuram to organize a CleanUp Drive on May 4, 2023, in Malappuram, aligning our efforts with @gooddeedsday.

Kottakunnu Tourist Spot, a well-loved landmark in Malappuram, was the focal point of our initiative. With its breathtaking views and historical significance, it attracts numerous visitors. However, preserving its beauty requires continuous effort and dedication. That’s why we, along with 80+ enthusiastic volunteers, took up the mission to clean and beautify the premises.

The CleanUp Drive was an inspiring display of teamwork and commitment. Volunteers equipped with gloves, garbage bags, and cleaning tools worked tirelessly to clear litter, segregate waste, and restore the natural charm of Kottakunnu. The collective energy and enthusiasm were truly remarkable, demonstrating that small actions can create a significant impact.

Beyond just cleaning, the event served as an awareness campaign to educate the local community and visitors about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and sustainability. By setting an example, we aimed to inspire others to take responsibility for their surroundings and contribute to environmental conservation.
