5 volunteers came together to assist 300 senior citizens in receiving their COVID-19 vaccinations in Kollam
Volunteer For Vaccination 2.0 by Captains Social Foundation

On April 17, 2021, we proudly organized Volunteer for Vaccination 2.0 at Vellimon LP School, in collaboration with Perinad Gramapanchayath and Perinad Primary Health Centre. This initiative aimed to support the ongoing fight against COVID-19 by facilitating vaccination for the local community.
A dedicated team of 5 volunteers from Captains Social Foundation worked tirelessly to assist in the smooth operation of the vaccination drive. Their efforts ensured that 300 citizens, including senior citizens and other vulnerable individuals, received their COVID-19 vaccinations, helping to protect them from the virus.
By partnering with Perinad Gramapanchayath and Perinad Primary Health Centre, we were able to create an accessible and organized vaccination center that reached individuals in need, especially in underserved areas. The event reflected the power of community collaboration, as local health authorities, volunteers, and community members came together to make this campaign a success.
This effort is part of our continued commitment to supporting public health initiatives and ensuring that everyone has access to the COVID-19 vaccine, particularly those who are most at risk. The vaccination drive at Vellimon LP School not only helped individuals protect their health but also contributed to the broader goal of achieving herd immunity in the community.
Our team continues to work alongside local organizations to carry out more vaccination drives in the region, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
