53 volunteers created 53 paper bags to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Kozhikode.

On August 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM, the volunteers of CAPTAINS Kozhikode organized the second edition of the #MyPaperBag Campaign in collaboration with Darul Ma’Rifa Arabic College, Puduppadi. This initiative aimed to spread awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution and promote the use of eco-friendly alternatives.

The program was coordinated by our dedicated volunteer, Dilu Nihal, and saw the active participation of around 50 volunteers. The event focused on engaging youth in sustainable practices, encouraging them to take small but impactful steps toward environmental conservation. Volunteers crafted handmade paper bags, which were later distributed in the community as a symbol of change and responsibility.

The success of #MyPaperBag Campaign #02 reinforced the importance of community-driven initiatives in fostering environmental consciousness. By empowering youth to lead sustainability efforts, Captains Social Foundation continues to create ripples of change, inspiring others to take action for a cleaner and greener world. ♻️🌍
