On August 19, 2022, the Arts & Craft Club of the Department of Sociology, Majlis Arts & Science College, in collaboration with the Science Club of Parudur Higher Secondary School, Pallipuram, Palakkad, launched the very first #MyPaperBag Campaign. This initiative aimed to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution.

The program was coordinated by our dedicated volunteer Fahisa Thasni, with the enthusiastic participation of around 50 volunteers. The event focused on encouraging young minds to embrace eco-friendly alternatives by creating handmade paper bags. This hands-on activity not only provided a creative learning experience but also reinforced the importance of reducing plastic waste in daily life.

As the first of its kind, #MyPaperBag Campaign #01 set the foundation for many more impactful initiatives to come. By fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, this campaign showcased how collective action, no matter how small, can lead to meaningful change.

Through collaborations like these, Captains Social Foundation continues to inspire and empower youth to take charge of sustainability efforts and contribute to a greener future. ♻️🌱
